Of course, the crack was useless without a good product. Going East! was a polarizing expansion. On one hand, it introduced beautiful new landscapes: the industrial decay of Warsaw, the winding roads of the Tatra mountains, the concrete panel labyrinths of Budapest. On the other hand, veterans complained it was "flat." Unlike later expansions like Scandinavia or Iberia , Going East! lacked complex toll systems, ferry routes, or ultra-detailed city centers.

This was not a standalone game. Unlike modern repacks that include everything, this SKIDROW release assumed you had either a legitimate copy of the base ETS2 or their earlier cracked version of the base game.
