A "book repack" is a specialized volunteer event where donated books are sorted, categorized, and palletized for shipping. Because Books For Africa only accepts books that are relatively new (usually published within the last 15 years), the repack serves as a critical quality control step. How the Process Works

The Bok Africa Book Repack works by collecting used books from donors around the world. These books are then sorted, packed, and shipped to Africa, where they are distributed to schools, libraries, and communities. The project has a number of partner organizations and businesses that help to facilitate the collection and distribution of the books.
