The film explores themes of grief, loss, and the supernatural. Lucy (Sarah Wayne Callies) and her daughter Mia have just moved to a bungalow in France. When Mia dies suddenly, Lucy is devastated. Desperate to speak with her daughter once more, Lucy visits a local shaman who teaches her a ritual to connect with Mia's spirit. The ritual, however, goes awry, and Lucy inadvertently opens her home to malevolent entities.
