The film takes place a year after the events of the first film. Ed and Lorraine Warren are approached by the Perron family, who are experiencing strange and terrifying occurrences in their farmhouse in Rhode Island. The family claims to have been awoken in the middle of the night by a mysterious presence, which seems to be watching them.
