Eufrat's longing, which had once felt aching and private, began to change. It turned into the deliberate ache of someone learning to trust another with the inside of his life. Angelica's notebooks filled with marginalia—sketches of cameras, notes in the margins about the way people arrive and leave. She began to bring him small scenes she wanted him to photograph.
