Shams al-Ma'arif (Shams al-Ma'arif wa Lata'if al-'Awarif) is a well-known medieval grimoire attributed to the 13th–14th‑century Egyptian Sufi scholar Ahmad al-Buni. It covers Arabic magic, talismans, numerology (ʿilm al‑ḥurūf), and occultist practices. The book is historically significant in the Islamic esoteric tradition but is controversial and often banned in some Muslim-majority regions.
