The tool creates a bridge to configure your receiver’s network settings (IP address, Gateway, DNS). If you mess up your network settings and lose access to the box, DCC can sometimes connect via Serial Cable (RS232) or via direct crossover cable to fix the IP address—a feature very few other tools offer.
